FANTASTIC RARE ANTIQUE 19THC CONTINENTAL EMPIRE PERIOD MARBLE-TOP BEDSIDE CABINET. An attractive, unique and very well-crafted Continental mixed wood marquetry nightstand from the 19th Century, featuring a marble top with molded edges, case fitted with a single drawer over single door cabinet opening to shelves, flanked by fluted pilasters topped with acanthus carved corbels, rising on turned feet. A great example of the quality of build can be seen In photo #11 where you can see under the marble top, the cabinet is held together by large dovetails, not commonly used glue or very tiny nails. Can be used many ways including as a nightstand, side/end table, lamp stand, decorative arts display or a storage cupboard, just to name a few. Dimensions approx 33.75″ High, 17.75″ Wide, 13.5 Deep.
